Sam Crocker

Operations Manager

Samantha is TIAH’s Operations Manager. Her role involves overseeing all of TIAH’s day-to-day operations, including all compliance requirements.

Sam was born and brought up on a mixed farm in Iowa in the US and has a career background in agriculture. She has joined TIAH from AHDB where she worked to implement the Agri-Skills Strategy which drove the formation of TIAH. Prior to this, Sam was AHDB’s Pork Knowledge Transfer Officer, which involved managing projects geared towards improving knowledge and technical skills for pig producers and their employees.

Sam has international experience of agriculture, having gained a degree in Public Service and Administration in Agriculture at the Iowa State University. During this time, she worked in student administration at the Agriculture and Life Science college, in online-learning communications at the Iowa Pork Industry Centre, and in quality assurance at cooked meat manufacturer.

She also has a wide range of experience working with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach on a county and state level in their 4-H youth development programme, which is similar to the UK’s Young Farmers Clubs.

Samantha spent several years working in the health and social care sector within Gloucestershire Borough and County Councils and NHS CCG. She contributed to strategic development of services and managed a variety of projects, working in partnership with a range of partner agencies.

Samantha has a Masters in International Human Resources Management from the University of Gloucestershire.

In her spare time, Sam enjoys time with her family, especially country walks with her husband and young daughter.
