The chance of incidents occurring on a farm can be significantly reduced by first being aware of the hazards and associated risks and ensuring controls are in place to eliminate or minimise these. This is known as a ‘risk assessment’.

This module will give you an awareness of some of the common hazards and risks when working on a farm or horticultural production site and an understanding of the role and process of risk assessments along with a five-step process for assessing risk.
