This Learning Path contains four modules designed to help all farm workers improve their recognition of hazards, understand how to effectively manage risks, and best practice around reporting of incidents.

Aims

This Learning Path aims to:
  • Increase the uptake of health and safety training across the industry  
  • Develop positive behavioural change to improve health and safety on farm 
  • Promote compliance with best practices for health and safety  
  • Improve health and safety statistics on farms   
  • Support health and safety improvements and record-keeping   
  • Achieve a positive sense of health and safety on farm 

Overview

Health and safety is an essential part of farming. Managing risks sensibly protects you, your family, your colleagues, and the business.

The modules in this Learning Path provide an awareness of health and safety law and a good foundation in core health and safety principles and best practices.

The Learning Path includes online activities, practical exercises, and a review quiz. On successful completion of the Learning Path, a certificate will be available.
