Membership terms and conditions
Membership terms and conditions
As a Member, you are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct as well as the Membership Rules agreed to at the point of membership registration.
These regulations will remain in effect throughout the term of your membership but are subject to change as necessary. These are all subject to change as necessary. TIAH reserves the right to exclude individuals from membership who continually violate these sets of principles.
Our contract with you
The membership terms and conditions regulate the business relationship between you and us and form a contract between us. By signing up for TIAH Membership, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.
The contract between us comes into existence when you create an account. In entering this contract, you have not relied on any representation or information from any source except the definition and explanation of the services given on our website.
Subject to these terms and conditions, we agree to provide you with the services described on our website at the prices published. This agreement shall operate for the period for which you have subscribed to TIAH Membership Service.
Our contract with you lasts for the term of your subscription as detailed in your account (e.g., 12 months or one year). Any continuation by us or by you after the expiry of your subscription is a new contract under the most recent membership terms and conditions posted on our website accessed through your account. Your continued use of our services after that shall be deemed acceptance by you of the changed service, system and/or terms.
Details of the cost and benefits of TIAH Membership are as set out on our website. You may subscribe to TIAH Membership Services at any time.
Duration of membership
Membership with TIAH is based on an annual term. When you register, you are committing to a yearly fee for your membership. You can choose to pay monthly or annually, but the full amount of your membership must be paid during your term.
If your payment does not go through on your payment date, TIAH will attempt a further two times to take payment. You will have a 30-day grace period to update your payment details or ensure there are enough funds in your account without losing access to your membership account. After 30 days, your account will be locked.
Regaining lapsed membership
To regain access to your TIAH membership, you will need to pay the outstanding amount of your membership term. E.g., if your payment lapsed in March and you wish to reinstate your membership in July, you would need to pay the four months of missed payments and the current month. If this happens on a recurring basis, additional administrative fees may also be charged.
As a consumer, you have an initial 14-day cancellation period to change your mind and cancel your membership contract from either the day you receive your welcome email or renewal communication or the day on which we receive the first payment, whichever comes first. If you cancel within this period, we will then return any premium paid for the membership. If you start your membership with a free trial, the 14-day cancellation period begins the day you start the trial.
You may not transfer your TIAH Membership to any other person.
Updates to terms and conditions
We reserve the right to modify the TIAH Membership rules or system and to change the terms and conditions of this agreement at any time, without notice. Your continued use of the TIAH Membership after such modifications shall be deemed an acceptance by you to be bound by the terms of the modified agreement. The most recent terms will always be available to view from your account.
If we give you free access to a service or feature on our website, which is normally a charged feature, and that service or feature is usually subject to additional contractual terms, you now agree that you will abide by those terms.
Termination of membership
You may terminate this agreement at the point of renewal, for any reason, with effect on your renewal date. If you wish to cancel your membership at the point of renewal, please ring TIAH on 0300 131 1257 before your renewal date. We reserve the right to check the validity of any request to terminate membership.
Termination will affect your right to use the services and we are under no obligation to forward any CPD records, certificates, unread or unsent messages to you or any third party. In the event of termination by us, within 14 days, we will refund you the balance of your subscription outstanding for any service, pro-rata, with time not elapsed. There shall be no reimbursement or credit if the service is terminated due to your breach of the terms of this agreement. We assume no responsibility for the deletion or failure to store or deliver email or other messages.
You agree to indemnify us against any loss, damage, or liability, suffered by us at any time and arising out of:
- Any act, neglect, or default of yours in connection with this agreement or your use of the services
- Your breach of this agreement
- Your failure to comply with any law
- A contractual claim arising from your use of the Services
This agreement does not give any right to any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 / Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) (Scotland) Act 2017 or otherwise, except that any provision in this agreement which excludes or restricts the liability of our directors, officers, employees, subcontractors, agents, and affiliated companies, may be enforced under that Act.
