TIAH and RABI are proud to announce our collaboration on a bursary scheme that will support farmers and growers with training and development.

This partnership with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) will enable us to offer 500 bursary-supported memberships, granting access to TIAH’s comprehensive online platform to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to benefit from such resources.

I am profoundly encouraged by the potential this collaboration with RABI holds for addressing mental health challenges within the agricultural community. The statistics and insights underscore the critical need for targeted mental health support in our sector. Farming, while a rewarding profession, comes with its unique set of pressures and stresses.

Career development in farming and growing

Our mission at TIAH is to nurture a thriving agriculture and horticulture industry by improving career development, increasing workforce capacity, and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.

Our partnership aims to bridge the gap in mental health support, recognising that the wellbeing of our farmers is as crucial as their physical health. By combining RABI's commitment to enhancing mental health services with TIAH's focus on skills and career development, we are poised to offer a holistic support system. This system not only addresses immediate mental health needs but also fosters an environment where farmers feel empowered and supported in their professional growth.

We are committed to creating more opportunities for farmers to connect, learn, and grow together, reducing the sense of isolation and building a more resilient farming community

Chief Executive - TIAH

Through this partnership, we are committed to creating more opportunities for farmers to connect, learn, and grow together, reducing the sense of isolation and building a more resilient farming community.

We understand that mental health challenges do not exist in a vacuum - they are often intertwined with the stresses of the job and concerns about the future. By providing access to training, development opportunities, and mental health support, we aim to address these challenges. Our goal is to ensure that every farmer knows they're not alone, that resources are available and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
