Join us in developing the next generation of talent in the industry
The Institute for Agriculture and Horticulture (TIAH) is excited to announce that we have joined the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education's (IfATE) Employer Directory to help shape the future of apprenticeships and technical education in agriculture and horticulture.
The Employer Directory is a prestigious group comprising more than 80 professional and employer-led bodies. It plays a crucial role in providing industry-focused guidance to regulators such as Ofqual and the Office for Students on the quality assurance of apprenticeship end-point assessments.
Members of the directory are increasingly called upon by IfATE to advise on various aspects of apprenticeship quality, including T Levels, Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs), and the approval of Level 2 and 3 technical qualifications. This involvement ensures the training and assessment of apprenticeships remain relevant and of high quality.
How experts help
By registering as an expert with TIAH, you could help with:
- Providing industry-focused guidance on quality assurance of apprenticeship end-point assessments
- Advising on the standards of apprenticeships, T Levels and other technical qualifications
- Helping develop occupational maps to guide employers and learners on training opportunities
- Participating in reviews to ensure assessments accurately test required knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Identifying trends and risks across apprenticeship standards over time
How you can contribute
If you're passionate about shaping the future of the industry through apprenticeships and have the relevant expertise, we invite you to register your interest by emailing our CPD Manager, Sarah Koppen. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of talent in agriculture and horticulture, ensuring apprenticeship programmes meet the high standards expected in the industry.
There are several ways your expertise can help the industry evolve its technical education and apprenticeships, and you can also find out more information about the Employer Directory on the IfATE website.
