LEAF Education and Public Engagement’s vision is to engage, inspire and motivate young people and wider society to be conscious consumers who feel empowered to make decisions that ensures we have a world that is growing, eating and living more sustainably.
LEAF Education is achieving this by:
- Providing society and especially young people the opportunity to visit a farm and see how their food is sustainably produced
- Supporting educators and farmers to deliver high quality, memorable learning experiences in order to provide balanced and informed insight into sustainable food production, farming and the environment
- Raising young people’s aspirations and highlight opportunities to enter the green job sector
- Helping to ensure all in society are better informed about how their personal food choices can make a difference to climate change and sustainability, supporting them to make climate positive food choices, driving trust and understanding in the agri-food sector
