National Farmers Union (NFU)

The NFU represents over 45,000 farmer and grower businesses across England and Wales. In addition, it has 3,500 student NFU members and 20,000 NFU countryside members with an interest in farming and rural life.
The National Farmers Union

The NFU's purpose is to champion British agriculture and horticulture, to campaign for a stable and sustainable future for British farmers and to secure the best possible deal for its members.

Student members can take part in the Student and Young Farmer Ambassador Programme. The programme is a year-long series of events designed to give its students and young farmers the opportunity to impact the future of farming.

NFU Education provides curriculum-linked resources covering Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 to help children learn about British food and farming through projects such as Farmvention, Farm STEMterpise, Farmers for Schools and Science Farm LIVE lessons.

You can find out more about NFU's work for members by visiting nfuonline.com, or visit the NFU Education website to see more about its work for schools and teachers.
