Meet the youngstock manager

There's lots of room to progress a career in the dairy industry - find out how Leah Griffiths developed her career to become Halton Farms' youngstock manager.
Leah Griffiths explains what her role entails and what she loves about her job.

Leah Griffiths describes more about her role at Halton Farms, the responsibilities she has there and what she enjoys most about working in the sector.

There are more roles in the dairy industry than many people realise - which means there's always scope to further develop your career in the sector.

Leah explains more about how her own career path has changed as she's found responsibilities she enjoyed - and what's surprised her about her journey so far.

What do you think might be the most rewarding aspect of Leah's job?

Working with animals can be hugely rewarding in a number of ways. From watching the youngstock play with the buoys in their pens, to helping cows give birth to their calves, there's clearly a lot to take from such a role.

And while working outside might not be for everyone, it can be worth spending some time to consider the experiences you may really enjoy in a role against those which you might not!
