Farmers and growers can get all the benefits of becoming a member of agriculture and horticulture’s professional body for FREE, thanks to our partnership with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).

RABI understands that the right skills can build business and personal resilience in an often unpredictable market. And by training and further developing your expertise, you could gain better recognition for your professionalism  and plan more effectively for the future.

So, thanks to the generosity of RABI, 375 farmers and growers across the country will now be eligible for free membership, enabling them to access business support, our catalogue of webinars, online learning, case studies and wellbeing material on our award-winning Learning Hub.

This partnership highlights the critical role of lifelong learning in empowering farmers and growers and supporting both business and personal resilience.

How to apply for a free membership

To claim free membership, applicants need to complete a simple online application form on the RABI site and meet the following criteria:

  • Live in England and work in farming – or previously worked in farming in England, Wales or Northern Ireland
  • If currently non-working, then you must have worked in farming for a minimum of two years and spent the majority of your working life as a farming person
  • Have less than £500 of disposable income per calendar month after critical living expenses or be in receipt of statutory benefits

New skills crucial to tackling new challenges

Changing regulations, shifting market conditions and new technologies can all affect farming and growing businesses, leading to new opportunities as well as new challenges. Navigating these changes requires new skills and knowledge.

It’s often said that ‘to stay still is to fall behind’, which is why TIAH and RABI are working together to help more farming and growing businesses take the next step in their development.

You can find out more about the partnership and apply for your own TIAH membership here.
