He focused on mid-market companies, SMEs, and co-operatives in the UK but has also worked on deals and strategy projects involving some of the largest agribusinesses with global operations.
He's an enthusiastic proponent of self-development and learning and coaches and mentors a number of aspiring young professionals.
His career included secondments working in Houston, USA, and, more latterly, in Central and Eastern Europe based out of Warsaw, when he was Chair of the Latvian Foreign Investors Council for a three-year term.
Agribusiness and education
He now acts as a board adviser to a number of organisations, including European and UK agribusinesses, and serves on the board of a number of charities.
Stephen has a strong interest in supporting education and is a long-serving governor at Gresham’s School in Norfolk (which runs a BTEC in Agriculture); is a director of the Agri-educational Clan Trust and recently became a trustee of the RAF Charitable Trust – all three of which have strong links to STE(A)M.
He is a long-time member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales, The Farmers Club and The Mardlers Agricultural Discussion Group.
