TIAH launches Growing Prospects project to host of work coaches
TIAH has launched the first phase of its new Growing Prospects project, aimed at helping more people find roles in agriculture and horticulture and show how they can develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in this exciting industry.
Growing Prospects is a new project from TIAH that is working to highlight roles in farming and growing to more people across the country, as well as support farm owners and managers in bringing these keen new entrants on board in their businesses.
The project has three main strands:
- Pathways to a sustainable career: With information for potential new entrants and careers changers
- Cultivating careers: Which is full of information to help farm owners and managers tackle the difficulties they're facing in recruitment and retention
- Opportunities to grow: Containing information to help careers influencers and advisers understand more about the rewarding nature of so many of the jobs in our sector
Understanding the value of farming and growing in their regions
This first phase launch has seen us present the project to career influencers across the country so they can better understand the value of farming and growing in their regions and better recommend roles in the sector to jobseekers they're working with.
We'll be adding more content to the project and briefing more organisations that help jobseekers on Growing Prospects in the coming months, but you can find out more about it by visiting Growing Prospects now or contacting our Careers manager, Ruthie Peterson.
Download our one-page guide to Growing Prospects for careers advisers and influencers and tackle our Virtual Work Experience programme, developed alongside sector leaders Springpod to get a deeper insight into the routes into farming and growing careers.
