Stephen Jacob reflects on a year of real progress
Stephen Jacob reflects on a year of real progress
As 2025 draws to a close, Stephen Jacob, our chief executive, has written to all TIAH stakeholders to celebrate the first year of membership and our significant strides in advancing lifelong learning within UK agriculture and horticulture.
In his letter, Stephen outlines the fantastic journey TIAH has been on in the last 12 months. From launching our first membership proposition at the NEC in Birmingham in January, through to developing our student and new entrant offering and - most recently - group membership for farming and growing businesses, 2024 has seen TIAH make fantastic strides.
Proud to showcase our fantastic industry
On top of this, TIAH has also been at the forefront of showcasing the fantastic career opportunities our exciting sector offers, with careers manager Ruthie Peterson having travelled to events across the country, helping raise the profile of our sector among careers seekers.
Similarly, our Virtual Work Experience programme has seen fantastic levels of engagement and Stephen has himself been called on by the BBC to talk about the difficulties the sector is facing in attracting the right people to roles.
And, as Stephen says in his letter, none of these achievements would be possible without the incredible support of our members. So, on behalf of Stephen and everyone at TIAH, wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
