His career in the agricultural sector began when, between school and university, he did a year of practical experience as a dairy apprentice on a 450-cow spring and summer block calving unit. He then went on to complete a BSc (Hons) degree in Agriculture with Animal Science at Harper Adams University.

During his degree he did an industry placement at Allflex (MSD) Livestock Intelligence. Based in the marketing department, he helped produce advertisements, brochures and leaflets for distribution in farming titles. He was responsible for planning and managing the company’s summer 2018 trade stand presence - the stand won the Best Agricultural Trade Stand (Non Machinery) at that year’s Royal Welsh Show.

In 2019 Oli joined Allflex (MSD) Livestock Intelligence as a Market Access Executive. His work included developing digital advertisements; helping to evaluate new weighing and livestock management hardware; and developing physical and virtual farm tours to demonstrate cattle monitoring and electronic identification systems.

In 2021 Oli was appointed Digital Campaign Lead with iLivestock, developing new initiatives and resources to promote its Duradiamond Software and assist new users.

Oli is an Agriculture Advisor for Enterprize Energy. This role involves gathering, reviewing and presenting data to inform development appraisals for renewable NH3 (green ammonia) production from offshore wind power generation.

Outside work, Oli’s interests include cycling, winter sports and classic cars. He is also a member of Agrespect, an organisation promoting and supporting diversity in the countryside.
