Janet’s recognition in the King’s New Year’s Honours list reflects her exceptional dedication and commitment to the field of agricultural education, skills, and development, spanning a career of nearly 30 years.

Commenting on the award, Janet said: The experience of receiving my OBE recently from the Princess Royal at Windsor Castle was incredibly memorable. I felt deeply honoured and was made to feel very special. It was a wonderful afternoon spent with my family that I will cherish for years to come.

"I am very grateful for all the support I've received over the years and the constructive work with colleagues without which this award would not have come about."
