Louisa Baker
Engagement Officer
As part of her role, she delivers the quality assurance of TIAH's online service by ensuring feedback from farmers and growers is delivered to the wider team and is also responsible for developing content to support skills and lifelong learning.
In her early career, Lou worked on a family farm in Derbyshire whilst studying for a BA Honours Degree in Graphic Design.
She then spent 17 years working within the creative and digital industries delivering marketing solutions to both national and global clients before founding a recruitment business which she ran for five years.
Her interest in agriculture and horticulture eventually drew her back to study at Nottingham Trent University where she took a career break to complete a 2-year Level 3 BTEC in Agriculture. After completing her course she worked as a contract shepherd, a herdsperson and business partner in a dairy diversification business where she was responsible for setting up an on-farm pasteurising unit and milk vending machines based at local farm shops.
In 2019 she joined AHDB as Project Manger supporting TIAH's early development. This led to her becoming a permanent member of the TIAH team.
In her spare time, Lou enjoys going on long hikes, spending time on the golf course and yoga. She also enjoys travel, cooking and baking (and eating) the odd cake or two.
