This innovative programme is designed to support farmers and growers in understanding the importance of diversity and inclusion, recognising unconscious biases and implementing steps to create a welcoming workplace for everyone.

And what’s more, we’re offering both modules of this course for free for a limited time.

At TIAH, we believe that fostering an inclusive workplace can yield numerous practical benefits for farmers and growers, including:

  • Better staff retention: Inclusive workplaces tend to retain employees more effectively, reducing the costs and disruptions associated with high staff turnover
  • Attracting talent: By adopting inclusive hiring practices, farms can attract talent from a wider pool, helping to alleviate labour shortages
  • Improved innovation: Diverse teams bring different perspectives, which can lead to more innovative solutions to farming challenges

In today's rapidly evolving world, embracing inclusion is not just a moral imperative but a strategic advantage. Our learning pathway is crafted with the unique needs of farmers and growers in mind, offering practical, engaging and directly applicable content for everyday farm operations.

Practical steps to strengthen your farm team

Inclusion means being open to age, gender, race, sexuality, neurodiversity, disabilities and different working backgrounds. It goes beyond simply recognising differences to valuing them and enabling everyone to thrive. An inclusive workplace is one where individuals feel they can perform to their full potential and truly belong, without needing to hide or change their identities.

We understand that implementing new practices takes time and effort. That's why our e-learning pathway is designed to be:

  • Practical and tailored: Specifically for agricultural and horticultural contexts
  • Concise and impactful: Each module takes around 40 minutes to complete
  • Flexible: As a TIAH Member, your progress is automatically saved, allowing you to fit this learning around your busy schedule
