Matt Naylor - Chair of TIAH's Board

In his day job, Matt chairs the Naylor group of businesses. He founded Naylor Flowers and has grown it into one of the UK’s largest flower businesses by empowering great people and embracing change. He is co-managing director of Socius, a labour agency.

Matt is keen to help UK farmers to equip themselves with the skills to determine their own futures and to champion best practice in the farming industry.

He works with the Country Trust to host school visits on his own farm and supports Open Farm Sunday. He is a proud tenant of the Crown Estate who sponsored his Nuffield Scholarship in 2006. He was the co-originator of the Agrespect initiative in 2018 to give visibility to LGBT people in the countryside.

Matt is a former trustee of LEAF, Concordia and he is past chair of Oxford Farming Conference.

His spare time is spent on an unprofitable branch of horticulture in his garden and maintaining crumbling old homes in Lincolnshire and Herefordshire.
