Trust

Trust

Trust means acting to show you, your business, and the agriculture industry in a professional and positive light - both in your work and your private life.

Workplace trust is important for an effective team because it gives everyone a sense of safety.

Workplace trust is important for an effective team because it gives everyone a sense of safety.

Customer trust is essential for building long-term relationships with your clients. It means giving people better experiences, increasing loyalty, and keeping more customers.

Acting in a way that promotes trust

All TIAH members are asked to act in a manner both in their working life and their private life to promote themselves, their business, and the agriculture industry professionally and positively.

This behaviour includes:

  • Promoting the high standards you and the industry stand for
  • Understanding that being a professional is about more than how you behave at work; it’s also about how you behave in your private life
  • Understanding how your actions affect others and the environment and questioning or changing that behaviour if you can
  • Meeting the obligations of your role and doing what you say you will
  • Trying to meet the spirit of your professional standards and not just the letter of the standards
  • Commit to professional development and role model it to others

Other behaviours

Safety is about recognising your responsibility to protect people from injury or harm. This includes yourself, your fellow workers, and anyone visiting your farm.
Communicating for effective outcomes means communicating clearly and with integrity to share knowledge and build positive relationships.
