Respect means treating everyone with courtesy and politeness in your role and considering cultural sensitivities and business practices when dealing with others.
Respect is important for creating a healthy working environment. In the workplace, it lets all employees know they are valued for their achievements, abilities, and qualities.

Treating others with respect
All TIAH members are asked to treat everyone with courtesy, politeness, and respect and consider cultural sensitivities and business practices.
This behaviour includes:
- Always being courteous, polite, and considerate to people
- Never discriminating against anyone for whatever reason; making sure that issues of race, gender, sexual orientation, age, size, religion, country of origin, or disability have no place in the way you deal with other people or do business
- As much as you can, encourage the business you work for to put the fair and respectful treatment of people at the centre of its culture
